Class Expectations
Students are expected to come to class prepared with the necessary materials (binder, paper, book, pencil) and homework. Students are also expected to treat themselves and others with respect and dignity. I also expect my students to respect others' right to learn. I will be sending discipline referrals for consistent disruption or disrespect.
Homework Policy
Work turned in 1-4 days late will lose 10 points, 5-10 days late will lose 20 points, and work turned in over 2.5 weeks late will lose 30 points. Work over 5 weeks late will NOT be accepted. Some assignments, per my instructions, will not be taken after the due date.
Discipline
I will give silent lunch for repeated interruptions of the teacher or class discussion. If the behaviors continue after silent lunch has been given, I will either give more days of silent lunch, take away recess, or in some cases, a discipline referral. Discipline referrals are only given if the offense inhibits the learning environment after being given multiple warnings.
Announcements:
If you are able to send some, we are in desperate need of tennis balls for our desks and chairs. Tennis balls keep from scratching the floor and make the room a much quieter place to learn....Any donations including school supplies would be greatly appreciated!
