Personal Finance and Economics

April 21, 2013

Reminder to students: I will accept late assignments without point deductions only in extreme circumstances. Please see me if you are having difficulty turning in an assignment. If there are any questions about late work policies, please see your "rules and expectations" form in your binder.

We are finishing up a unit about credit protection and credit protection laws. The next two units will be about saving and investing. Students will identify reasons for long term saving and ways to accomplish long term saving goals. These two units will last through approximately May 17. All activities will be completed in class.

We are continuing to use Ever-fi. Be sure to have your headphones handy!

Students will be participating in the online program Ever-Fi. Our local sponsor is Highlands Union Bank!

We will begin working with this program in class next week. The program is audio enabled and students will need a set of earphones for this program. Please purchase an inexpensive pair for your child to keep in his or her locker. They will need these by Wednesday, October 3.

Course fee is $6.00. Please bring exact change or a check made out to Marion Senior High School. Try to pay course fee by September 7.

Students: Please remember that when you are given an assignment, you will be given a due date. Please do not give me excuses instead of your completed assignment!

I have provided a link to the state's competencies for this course. Check out all the valuable information you can learn in this class!
