¡Hola y bienvenidos a CRMS y la clase de Español! / Hello and welcome to CRMS and Spanish class!

You may be "preocupado" (worried) about taking Spanish here at CRMS as you have heard that the other students have had Spanish since Kindergarten and you are not sure how you will be able to catch up. ¡No te preocupes! (Don't worry!) Students can come in at any point in the program and if they engage and participate in the class most can catch up relatively easily. We teach using a communicative method which means you can "get" most of the new material just by listening and participating well. By the end of a complete year of Spanish at CRMS you should be all caught up.

To assist with making the transition into Spanish at CRMS run as smoothly as possible we will modify standards and assessments for the first three quarters and then continue with regular standards and assessments in the fourth quarter. (If you join CRMS mid- year, we will follow the modified schedule above but may have to continue with a modified quarter or two the following school year (depending on when you started at CRMS)).

In addition, your Spanish teacher will be available every day during Schooner Time to help you if you need it.
