Welcome to Exploratory Music!
In this class, students will learn about musical theory, history, singing, and piano.
Below is what I will be expecting of all of my students.
The student will:
1. Treat others with courtesy and respect.
2. Listen and follow instructions the first time.
3. Use correct posture while singing.
4. Refrain from: talking in class without permission, chewing gum, or eating in class.
5. Keep hands and feet to self.
6. Take care of music and other materials.
Failure to abide by these rules will result in the following disciplinary action:
First offense: Verbal warning
Second offense: Silent lunch
Third offense: Class participation grade lowered; conference with student
Fourth offense: Student referred to the office for further action, including after school detention, Saturday school, suspension, or expulsion from chorus.
With parents, teachers, and students working together, we can help students find the very best in themselves and have a most productive and enjoyable year!
