Welcome to College Success Skills Class designed to prepare you for your Journey into Nursing and Allied Health!
When you plan a trip or journey to a favorite vacation spot or to visit family, you know what to pack, how to get there, and probably even what you will do while you are there. It is all familiar! But what if you were planning a trip to a totally new destination? You would have to get directions, find out what the climate is like so you know how to pack, find a comfortable place to stay while you are there, learn what there is to do and what it all will cost. You want your trip to be successful and enjoyable.
You can think of your journey into nursing or other allied health careers in just the same way. In this class you will begin to get directions, test out the "climate" of your destination-your educational program first, and ultimately your career. Together we hope to figure out what you need to "pack" to help you on your way, and yes, even count your costs and learn some ways to minimize those costs.
