BROWNFIELD SITES IN CONNECTICUT:
This page contains activities, information, and links to help you learn about the above topic.
Have you ever seen an empty lot or an abandoned building and wondered why someone doesn't rennovate or put in a new business? In some cases, it is because the site is contaminated with chemicals from a former use. These polluted "Brownfield Sites" require a lot of extra money to remmediate (clean), and yet the pollution sometimes spills beyond the site to adjacent properties. You could buy a property like this, or live next to one someday. Let's look at what you need to know about the "environmental history" of properties.
