Let me be the first to say congratulations and welcome. I am so excited that you are joining our class, and as the instructor I will work as hard as I can to do right by you. That being said, this class, like any life-changing endeavor, will require some work and effort. In the end it will be all worth it. This class does and can change lives; I have seen it and I hope you will be changed too.
Excel is one of those programs that is just good to be able to use. It is useful both at work and at home as well. I hope that you will see that numbers can tell a story just as well as any book!
You will quickly learn that my teaching style tends to favor hands-on practice in the Excel software, engaging lectures, and fully participatory discussions along with supplemental videos and other supporting resources. I firmly believe that giving you all the resources early on is essential to your success. I encourage students to read / watch videos / practice ahead of class, because who am I to stop progress?
