THIS CLASSPAGE IS FOR OUR INDEPENDENT PACE STUDENTS!

We recognize that some of our students are unable to keep the pace of their original class. So this page has been created for you.

As you work on the course, be sure to check here for updates on some of the modules. The reminders from class are still listed for you below...be sure you have done those things...

REMINDERS:

**Get Organized....VERY important.
**Don't do Homework sections at the end of each chapter.

UPDATE FOR MODULE 6

The link for "Public and Private Self" is down. It is an "additional" activity so it's not required. But if you'd like to have it, just let me know and I'll be glad to send it to you.

TIP FOR MODULE 7 Use the DVD to answer the 20 ethical situations assignment....it will walk you thru the answers and save you tons of time. Normally we tell you to do the workbook first then listen to the DVD...but for this module you want to do them together.

MODULE 8 IS THE THEORY CHAPTER....IT'S VERY LONG!

Don't let this chapter bog you down...it is a long one...but use the DVD to help you understand the theories....you dont' need to memorize ...just get a handle on the different theories. You may want to do the chapter and DVD at the same time to help you.

MODULE 9 UPDATE

There is a dead link on the DVD for the Structured Interview Worksheet. See if you can search to find examples of structured interview examples.

Also, 2 of the 3 Career Portfolio resources are dead links. You can google "Career Portfolio" and find many other resources to help you get an idea about what you would like to include in the one you develop.

MODULES 10 and 11

As we "warned" you, Mods. 10 and 11 are a tad bit lengthy! But hopefully they will give you some very practical information that will assist you in the work you do.

Be sure to note the DVD assignments on the module webpages to help you be sure that you have found the worksheets and assignments that you need to submit to us.

MODULE 11 UPDATE

Skip the Skillscan assignment....NCDA will be replacing that activity so for now, we're just omitting it.

The ASCI Worksheet has been revised since the DVD was created and the new worksheet is on your Mod. 11 webpage. Also, state data is not currently found on that website so you can skip that question.

"PAIR UP AND SHARE" ACTIVITIES!!!

As part of your "in person" time, we want you to discuss some of the work you have done independently with at least one other CDF student. You can discuss all the following in one phone session if you like. I'll buddy you up soon.

Module 9 Discussion: Share the best Career Portfolio resources that you have found? Discuss your progress on your portfolios.

Module 10: Your choice of worksheets to complete and the highlights of the information resources you have found.

Module 11: Your thoughts on Skillscan.

Module 12: Discuss any new tips on successful resumes that you have learned.

Module 13: Share your powerpoint presentations and discuss how you might use them.
