What a great half of the year that has gone by! It goes by way too fast!!

I hope everyone has had just as much fun as I have! You have certainly learned a lot so far this year.

Below is a list of tidbits that will help your child continue to have a successful year.

It is very important that multiplication facts be memorized.

In math, we will be working with fractions. We will also be reviewing multiplication and division daily, Have your child help you cook and use recipes at home so that they can become familiar with using fractions in everyday ways.

Remind your child that they need to complete 2 A.M. packets every week. They can receive help on these and use a calculator.

On Wednesdays, I will be sending home weekly folders. It will contain any important parent information, as well as, any graded papers. Please sign in the appropriate place a send back with your child on Thursday.

It is very important that your child be in class on time everyday that they are well. Keep in mind that the cold and flu season is upon us and if any students have a temperature, they need to stay at home until they go 24 hours fever free:)

Please have your child dress in layers for the coming weeks. It can be chlly in the mornings and turn nice and warm by the afternoon. It is a good idea to wear a jacket.

Parents: Remember to check and sign your child's assignment planner everyday. This is a daily communication between you and me. Feel free to write any notes that you have in the planner. You will also see notes from me in the planner as well. Remember to sign your child's weekly purple folder. If you have not seen this folder, please ask your child where it is. Some students are losing behavior points because they have not brought their purple folders back signed.
