Holy Land Travel
Brochure
Assignment:
Make a travel brochure of the Holy
Land which shows Holy sites, places where Jesus walked and spoke, as well as
services available for the traveler. Be sure to include pictures and
graphics of the places you are describing. Make sure all of the written
text is your own writing. NO COPYING AND PASTING. Use the links at
the bottom of the page to help you get started.
Follow the outline below to complete
your research. You must complete part II, plus 2-3 other categories of your
choice.
I. Transportation
Research questions:

How to get there, fly, boat etc.

convenient methods of transportation for tourists.

II. Pilgrimage:
Answer the research questions for two of the following locations.

VIII. Traditions

customs do travellers need to be aware of?
You will use MS Publisher to produce
your brochure. Follow these instructions to
create the brochure in Publisher. It would be a good idea to resize this
page and the Publisher page that way you can follow the instructions and use
Publisher at the same time.
Making a brochure in Publisher -
General instructions
-
Open Publisher, either by
clicking on the start menu and selecting from the programs menu. Or
double click the icon on the desktop.

Click on publications for print
from the menu on the left side of your screen.

Select brochures from the list.
-
You will see a number of brochure
templates. Look at some of the titles and select the template you feel
will work best for your brochure. I recommend the arcs informational
brochure. Try a few of the different templates to decide which one
works best for you.

From the menu on the left you
have some options for the format of your brochure. Make sure the
3-panel brochure is selected.

In the main window you will see
the template for your brochure. You can flip between the first and
second page by clicking on the 1 or 2 at the bottom of the page.

Remove the text from the existing
text boxes by highlighting the text, right clicking and cutting.
Replace the text with your own writing or make your own textboxes by
clicking insert and then select textbox.

Type your own writing into the
text boxes. No copying and pasting.

Add nice pictures that go with
the text.
