You will use MS Publisher to produce your brochure.  Follow these instructions to create the brochure in Publisher.  It would be a good idea to resize this page and the Publisher page that way you can follow the instructions and use Publisher at the same time.

Making a brochure in Publisher - General instructions

  • Open Publisher, either by clicking on the start menu and selecting from the programs menu.  Or double click the icon on the desktop.

  • Click on publications for print from the menu on the left side of your screen.

  • Select brochures from the list.

  • You will see a number of brochure templates.  Look at some of the titles and select the template you feel will work best for your brochure.  I recommend the arcs informational brochure.  Try a few of the different templates to decide which one works best for you.

  • From the menu on the left you have some options for the format of your brochure.  Make sure the 3-panel brochure is selected.

  • In the main window you will see the template for your brochure.  You can flip between the first and second page by clicking on the 1 or 2 at the bottom of the page.

  • Remove the text from the existing text boxes by highlighting the text, right clicking and cutting.  Replace the text with your own writing or make your own textboxes by clicking insert and then select textbox.

  • Type your own writing into the text boxes.  No copying and pasting.

  • Add nice pictures that go with the text.
