Illustrative Example for Language Arts

Grade 4 Language Arts: Creating a Public Service Announcement

 

Background

This activity could be used for a wide range of topics.  For example students could write public service announcements to educate and inform their peers about litter on the playground. Or walking safely down a hallway or climbing a flight of steps.

Student Task

Students write a public service announcement on a topic assigned by the teacher or selected by the student.  Then students plan a video.  They record the video and then edit the video in windows movie maker.
