Club de technologie

Dear Parents and students:

Welcome to our technology club homepage.  The club will meet on day 1. Depending on the interest level and commitment from students I may decide to offer more sessions.  The club will meet at 11:25 and will run for 30 minutes.  During this time students will have an opportunity to use our school's technology, the computer lab and digital cameras.  They will create and complete pre-planned projects on a variety of topics.  This page will be our technology club homepage and this will be the starting off point for all tech club sessions.

Links to activities and links to files needed to complete activities will be posted throughout this page.

Créer une annonce publicitaire

Tâche:  Créer une annonce publicitaire pour le carnaval.  On va montrer les annonces publicitaires et tous les élèves de l'école voteront pour le meilleur.

Étapes à suivre:

• Ouvre MS Word ou Publisher et sauve garde le document.

• Décide le "page setup"

• Compose le texte de l'annonce publicitaire.

• Trouve de belles images pour l'affiche. (google images)

• Transfert le document de MS Word sur le bâton de mémoire de M. Fortier.

L'information dont tu auras besoin pour faire ton affiche.

Le déroulement du carnaval:  Assemblée, activités de bricolage, Activités à l'extérieur.

Pour participer à ce concours il faut finir et remettre l'annonce publicitaire avant mardi le 10 février.

Sea World sur internet

Clique ici pour aller au site web de Sea World.  Choisis 5 animaux sur la list.  Lis les "fun facts'' et écris un fait intéressant sur chaque animal.

Après que tu as fini l'activité pratique ta dactylographie avec All the Right Type.

Musés et galléries d'art du monde

En se promenant dans le Smithsonian Institute on pourrait trouver des tableaux par les grands artistes, une momie égyptienne, ou même un habit d'armure.  Qu'arrive-t-il lorsqu'on ne peut pas voyager à Washington pour voir ces merveilles? 

On peut toujours faire une tournée virtuelle à travers internet.

Utilise les outils de recherche au lien ci-dessous pour trouver les adresses internet de ces musés et galléries d'art.

1.  The Smithsonian Institute à Washington DC.

2.  Museum of Science and Industry à Chicago, Illinois.

3.  Musé du Louvre à Paris, France

4.  Un musé ou gallérie d'art de ton choix.  Par exemple, le Musé Glenbow.

I have set up accounts in All the Right Type for technology club students. All the Right Type is a keyboarding and typing instructional program. This program will help you to develop keyboarding and typing skills. This will allow you to complete assignments faster and less tediously than before. However, like any other skill this takes time and practice to develop. In today’s technology club meeting we will get used to All the Right Type and do some practice. Follow the instructions below to get started.

1. Double click the All the Right Type icon on the desktop.
2. Click anywhere on the coloured portion of the window to continue.
3. You will see a futuristic looking city. This is the typing practice campus.
4. Click on “file” and from the menu select “sign on.”
5. Inside the sign on window you will see “technology club” click on “open.”
6. Find your name in the list and click on it ONCE so that your name is highlighted.
7. Click “select”
8. You are now ready to begin your typing practice. You will see a pulsing building on the main screen. Click that building to start the program. Follow the instructions on the screen and practice your keyboarding skills.
9. The program will keep track of your progress and the exercises you have completed.

We will regularly use All the Right Type in the technology club to develop our typing skills. As you become more familiar with the program you will begin to see your typing skills improve. You will be able to complete assignments faster and more easily once you master the keyboard. Stick with it and you will be rewarded.

Projet 1:  Le corps virtuel

Dans ce projet tu vas:

• Trouver un site sur internet.

• Utiliser des liens pour naviguer dans le site web.

• Lire des informations sur un site web pour trouver des faits.

• Tu vas tirer des conclusions des articles internet.

• Télécharger et compléter un doc MS Word.

Instructions à suivre

1.  ''Right click'' le lien et choisi ''save target as'' pour télécharger le document Word.  Sois certain de le sauver dans ton H drive.  Ensuite ouvre le document.

2.  Clique le lien pour ouvrir le site web; The Virtual Body.

3.  Lis les informations sur le site web et complète le template.
