As we only have 2 days left in the lab, I would like to take this opportunity to let each and every one of you know that it has been a pleasure working with each and every one of you! If the class is able to work silently, then I will allow you to work on any of the links on Quia! I have prepared a quiz that I can instead have you work on if we are not able to keep the noise level down!

You will write a two page essay on Microsoft Word detailing how you used technology in your project! Answer the following ten questions.
1. Name of your Pay It Forward Project.
2. Names of group members.
3. What technology did you use to begin the project.
4. What technology did you use through the project.
5. What technology did you use to present your project.
6. What did you learn from you project? What did you gain?
7. How will this help you in the future, whether college or in you real life?
8. Would you be interested in taking a pre-engineering course next year? Explain why or why not!
9. What college or university are you interested in applying for and what degree are you interested in obtaining.
10. What did you not learn in technology this year that you want to learn in next years class?
You are to write in full sentences and check your spelling and grammar!
Once you are done, place the document on to my external drive or pen drive and you may use any of the links that I have provided you under Quia!

You are able to use the links on Quia, only if you have completed everything you need to do for your project! Everyone has enough time to complete their projects and I have given extensions due to Field Lessons and testing! Thursday I will ask for your presentations, so be READY!

Since I am out on the 6th Grade Field Lesson, you will have these 3 days to complete everything needed for your final project! You will be graded based on your classroom participation, if the substitute gives me your names, you will be graded based on how you behaved in class! Presentations will begin on Thursday, if at all possible schedule presenters for that day!

Today you will review the Pay It Forward and Random Acts of Kindness web links on Quia. Tomorrow you will take a 20 question quiz (10 questions from each web link) that demonstrates that you "investigated" the web sites and "researched" their meaning. For example, one question will ask who the author of the book on which the movie is based is and another may be what does RAK stand for? (Random Acts of Kindness) Specifically look at the link at the very top ofthe page that says, "IN YOUR CLASSROOM" and go down to "More Ideas for Schools
Download PDF" and look at projects that were suggested for middle school students! Be sure to look at each web link! Your quiz will be for a grade!

Congratulations on surviving the TAKS testing schedule! We will have to make adjustments while NWEA Testing is going on! For today, I want your team to submit, in writing, the questions and answers!
1. Are you on schedule with your project? Why or why not?
2. What has been the most difficult during the process? Why?
3. Is there anything that you needed to change from the original proposal? Why?
4. Has every one on the team contributed to the project? How?
5. How is this project contributing to the community? Will it be able to continue if we are not here next year?
6. How much did your parents get involved with your project? Were they supportive? What was some of their "feedback"?
7. How was technology used in your project? Explain and list the different types of technology used?
8. You will need to type the project name and members of each team!

I am returning your original Project Proposal graded, remember each of you get the same grade! Today you will add and update your Project Proposal and then print it, only once! Some of you have done poorly on the "Pay It Forward" Quiz and need to improve your UPDATE to raise your grades!

Today you will take a quia on Quia based on the requirements of this project! You will log in to the quia and then type in the secret word: IDEA. The score will be your grade and will go into Gradebook! Once you are finished you may continue to work in your group! Project Proposal UPDATE is due tomorrow!

I am leaving the other entries so that you may refresh you memories as to what is required for this project and so that you may review deadlines and assignments. You must edit and make changes to the first "Project Proposal", if you can not find it, I provided another template with the title "Project Proposal II" on the desktop! The UPDATE will be due this Thursday, April 22, 2010!

The following is what I left as the assignment! I will await your explanations as to why I arrived on Friday, April 16, and did not find the print outs of the Project Proposals as I had instructed for a grade!?!?

DO NOW: Enter Quietly & Adjust Chairs. Continue to work on project based on the "Pay It Forward" or "Random Acts of Kindness" philosophy! I have provided links to both websites below! From the reading you will better understand why I have chosen teams of three! The first date on your timeline should be this Thursday, April 15, 2010 when the Project Proposal is due, remember to print out without the "Watermark" or you will be minus 20 points! In the meantime, write notes, keep names of contacts, phone numbers, addresses, everything that you do will account for an overall grade! The Project Proposal should be on each computer's desktop, if you find some other groups you can do a "Save As" and then type you information over it to create your own groups "Project Proposal"! I will be off campus but can access the lab, so stay on task and work on projects!
