Welcome to Mr.Wolf's 8th grade Religion homepage
Course Overview
The focus of 8th grade’s religion curriculum is Church. We study church history, models of church and ways Catholics participate in the life of their church. Catholic Social Principles, and Family Life are also important topics during the year.
Service Learning
St.Bede School is committed to teaching children the gospel value of service to one another. An important part of learning this lifelong lesson are are service learning projects. 7th and 8th graders are expected to perform 4 hours of service learning each trimester. The projects are a hands-on way for children to live their faith and to understand their ability to make a difference in their community.
Over the years, students have completed a wide variety of projects. For example, students have volunteered as tutors, worked with the elderly, helped clean up our bay shorelines, and helped at the zoo. Some students have even generated independent projects such as shoe and coat drives, feeding day laborers, and cleaning at Alameda Beach.
