Creative Lunch and Snack Ideas for a Nut Free Lower School



Lunch:

    Pita wrap sandwich with meat and/or cheese, carrots, oranges
    Sandwich with sunbutter  and jelly
    Pasta salad with meat or cheese
    Macaroni and cheese
    Crackers with lunch meat, hard boiled egg, or cheese
    Yogurt with carrot and celery stick and a piece of fruit
    Bagel sandwich with meat or cheese
    Pizza slice with veggies or fruit
    Soup, chili or stew in thermos
    Homemade chili
    Soup
    Whole wheat crackers (Wheat Thins) with cheese cubes or sliced cold cuts
    Celery stuffed with cream cheese or pimento cheese





Snack and Dessert:



    Nutrigrain Yogurt bars and cereal bars
    Raisins
    Pretzels
    Ritz Toasted Chips – sour cream, cheddar
    Goldfish crackers
    Teddy Grahams
    Rice cakes – different flavors
    Fresh and dried fruit (may need to be sent sliced) except mango and coconut
    Go-gurts
    Sun Chips
    Regular yogurt
    String cheese and cheese sticks
    Pasta
    Veggies and dip
    Fruit kabobs
    Unsweet cereal
    Applesauce





There are many more kid-friendly acceptable foods but this is a start.  Please remember, no nuts, mango, or coconut items (they are in the same family for peanut /tree nut allergies) When in doubt, please check the label for ingredients.
