A POINT marks an exact location in space.

A LINE is an endless straight path. It has no endpoints.

A RAY is part of a line that has one endpoint and continues without end in one direction.

A LINE SEGMENT is part of a line that includes two endpoints and all of the points between them.

A PLANE is an endless flat surface.

An ANGLE is formed by two rays with the same endpoint. An angle can be named by three letters-a point from each side and the VERTEX as the middle letter. The angle can also be named by a single letter by naming just with the vertex letter.

There are different types of angles:
1.) RIGHT ANGLE measures more than 90 degrees.

2.) ACUTE ANGLE measures less than 90 degrees.

3.) OBTUSE ANGLE measures more than 90 degrees, but less than 180 degrees.

4.) STRAIGHT ANGLE measures 180 degrees.

There are also different line relationships:

1.) PARALLEL LINES are lines in a plane that never intersect and are the same distance apart at every point.

2.) INTERSECTING LINES are lines that cross at one point.

3.) PERPENDICULAR LINES are lines that intersect to form four right angles.

A POLYGON is a closed plane figure formed by three or more line segments.

A REGULAR POLYGON, all sides have equal lengths and all angles have equal measures.

TRIANGLE is a polygon with three sides

QUADRILATERAL is a polygon with four sides

PENTAGON is a polygon with five sides

HEXAGON is a polygon with six sides

OCTAGON is a polygon with eight sides

DECAGON is a polygon with ten sides
