Bonjour la classe! We all look forward to going on our holidays. You are spending your work experience week at the headquarters of the French Tourist Board. Due to the economic crisis there has been a slight decline in visitors coming to France. Task: The Marketing Director of the office would like you to update one of the pages on its website to encourage people to visit the different regions of France. Your task is to choose a region of France which you would like to promote. Today you are going to visit one of these regions to take a look at what this regions has to offer. You will need to plan your brochure carefully. The Process: (i) Revise phrases you will need to put your brochure together (use the activities below to revise key phrases. (ii) Use the "useful links" below to discover the regions of France Include the following criteria in your leaflet: (1) Location - give a brief description, provide a map to show its location within France, name rivers, mountain ranges etc. (2) Explain what kind of area it is (historical, rural, commercial etc) (3) Name important towns in the region (4) What is the region renowned for (5) What food and drink specialities can be eaten there. (you could include a recipe or two!) (6) Where can you stay - name possible hotels and costs (7) Name places of interest (8) What kind of activities can you do in the region (9) Any additional information which could be included Bonnes Vacances
