I have a new and exciting course to show you Tuesday evening about the Wonderful World of Disney!
Disney and all of its attractions and cruise ships are very popular and an important
facet of the travel industry!

We will continue with learning how to book a PNR in the computer and find out how to get answers
to format questions, city codes and other helpful hints the Apollo system can do
to make your job easier.
As we head down the final few months of the course, I want to make sure that
everyone has completed at least 5 online seminars and received certification for
each one to put in your portfolio.
You are free to chose the course that interest you the most.
We still have several weeks to complete these courses so we have time to do them.
We will also schedule a webinar during our class time together in the next few weeks.
I have not heard back from any of the reps regarding our in-class seminars but
will let you know as soon as I do.

This week we will review the first three chapters of
Access - Introduction to Travel and Tourism by Marc Mancini, Ph.D.
in preparation for a mid-term examination
In particular, we will have a classroom discussion of the Activity topics
to reinforce the objectives outlined at the beginning of each chapter.
Several students have asked how they could begin taking an active part in travel
agency procedures by actually practicing the day-to-day activities of a travel agent.
Discussion will follow as to how we can accomplish this goal and how this activity will enhance knowledge, experience, and employability skills.

Chapter 10 provides an overview of the Internet's impact on the travel industry, the procedures and documents needed for border crossings, the principles of currency and exchange rates, health and safety concerns, and how to prepare for the future changes in travel.
