Hi Everyone:
ENGINEERING NOTEBOOKS
You are responsible for doing the reading about the Engineering Notebooks below. The assignment for drawing your egg drop design is listed below as Engineering Notebook 3 & 4. You also must know the difference between Scientific Design and Engineering Design.

All of the Engineering Notebook information listed below is a requirement. It will be on an Engineering Notebook test coming up after Spring Break on Tuesday. Don't put off reading it too long or you might not do well on the test.

The substitute will hand out all Engineering Book. Be sure and write in pen what you chose to do today. Those with composition books will line up first to leave and give it to the substitute as your "Ticket Out."

BRAIN JACK - Chapter 6-9
You will not be allowed to go as groups today, but you may check out a book from the substitute and read quietly.

FLASH BUTTERFLYS
Go to our Tiger Technology website at SJMS and check out the Flash Tutorials. You will be learning about making Flash Butterflys. We will actually be making a "Butterfly Garden." Check it out and try it before Gibson shows you how. It's fun!

BRAIN JACK VOCABULARY/SPELLING
Check the activities below about Brain Jack and see how you did. We are playing the "Spoons" game later this week. The more you know, the better you will win! You can record any notes in your Engineering Notebook, but beware the test will not be an open notebook test this time.

SELF PORTRAITS
Many of you might have already completed this assignment earlier because we put it on hold until later. Now it is later however. Make sure it shows three things about yourself WITHOUT WRITING ANY words. Do not save it as a "Paint" .bmp extension - save the "Paint" as a .jpg extension. Ask any of my last year's Tiger Techs how to open your portrait in fireworks and optimize it to save memory. We will review optimization on Thursday.

EGG DROP
If you haven't done this already, it is due tomorrow - Wednesday. I will be posting the rubrics, hopefully in the next hours.

PARENT LETTER OF AUTHENCITY
This is due by Friday... Don't just have your parents authorize them... you have to sign up for them. If for any reason your parent chooses not to, please have them email me about any concerns they might have. Also, remember, not to do "Kerpoof" at this point. If you would like to make an free account on "Unity," please list it under "other." If you already have an account for "Mindcraft," list it there as well.
