We use multimedia everyday with our computers either online or offline. As you work through the material in this lesson think about and prepare to discuss the following:
1) How do you use multimedia? What are some things you do with it? What plug-ins do you use?
2) What is a multimedia computer? What do you have to have for a computer to be considered a multimedia computer? Are not all computers multimedia computers? Why or why not?
3) Is there an advantage to using one browser over another when it comes to multimedia.
4) As you develop Web sites that contain multimedia, what factors do you need to consider?
Research Multimedia:
Use your text material and the Internet to reasearch and prepare to discuss the following:
What is a podcast? What can you do with one? How can you get one? What hardware and software is involved in accessing a podcast? Why would you want to? In your opinion, what is the future of the podcast?
