Active Learning is the technique of involving students in the learning process through reading, writing, acting, moving, problem-solving, discussion, etc. This workshop will introduce a variety of active learning strategies which may be used to engage students in a variety of settings. Participants will have a “hands-on” experience designed to diversify the teaching styles for each person. Further, “Awesome Active Learning” allows participants first-hand experience with participation in active learning activities. Finally, the workshop serves as a capstone/review of content from other courses in the PETS Series.
