JOB INTERVIEW PROJECT

1) Students write down their answers to typical interview questions prior to reading any suggestions on how to do it. This part was done in the last class meeting.
2) Students play vocabulary game at http://www.quia.com/mc/2281656.html .
3) Students go to the webpage http://www.quia.com/pages/jlondono/page74 and read and study the recommendations and suggestions to answer typical job interview questions.
4) Students again write their answers, but this time following the recommendations and with all their personalized information. They bring these answers to the next class meeting, and ask the teacher if necessary to make some corrections.
5) In class, students practice reading aloud these answers in order to improve pronunciation and intonation, until they mechanize their verbalization.
6) In the following class meeting, after watching some example videos, students continue rehearsing their job interviews in pairs. Some students will enact the interview.
7) Students produce a video of the job interview on a CD or in a webpage. This video must be delivered, along with the written answers, two weeks after.

NOTE: Job interviews questions can be asked by a classmate, friend, or family member. Remember that the answers are as true as possible, but some of them are fictional. For example, you have to assume that you have already graduated from the university.

This work will be graded considering the following areas:
• pertinence of the answers
• clarity of the answers and supporting ideas
• general vocabulary, particularly terminology related to your field of study
• grammar use
• coherence and tone
• fluency
• pronunciation
• body language
