ACTIVITY ONE:
Watch the 5 part video series (link below).
Click on Part One Quiz. Make a list of 25 facts about Poe and his works and explain why you believe each is important and/or fascinating.
ACTIVITY TWO:
Using "The Raven" link below read through the site.
Click on Part Two Quiz and complete the 5 questions.
ACTIVITY THREE:
Read the two selections at the links below. (The Tell-Tale Heart & The Pit and the Pendulum)
Complete a Vinn Diagram comparing the two "tales" above, using the link below. once you click on the link scroll down until you see "editable vinn diagram" you will have to print out when you are finished and turn in to Mrs. Keso or attach to an email (my email is on the top of this page).
ACTIVITY FOUR:
Click on Part Three Quiz. Write your own short tale of terror. Minimum of 1 page, but no more than 2 pages. Your story should be in first person. It MUST include:
Alliteration - the repetition of consonant sounds, usually at the beginning of words
Assonance - the repetition of vowel sounds, usually within words
Internal Rhyme - the rhyming of words within a line of poetry, not just at the end of the lines.
