Welcome to Mrs. Jeanneret's homepage!

Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year! I know it is going to be a wonderful year, and I look forward to working together.

This is my fourth full year of teaching at Saint Viator, and I feel so blessed to be able to educate your children.

If you would like to reach me, I am not available by phone for any part of the school day, as there is no telephone in my classroom. I am unable to return any phone calls until after 3pm, so please email me if you would like to speak by telephone. I am much more available by email, and I am happy to respond to you quickly. I can be reached at (847) 392-4050 x335 (after 3pm) and by email at kjeanneret@saintviator.com. If you would like to reach me by phone, you may email me to set up an appointment.

**I will respond to all emails within twenty four hours of reading them.**

I do not permit cellphones in the classroom as they are disruptive to learning. Please do not contact your child via cellphone during the school day.

Regards,
Mrs. Jeanneret

Saint Viator High School English Department Late Work Policy
I follow the late work policy set by the English department:

• If you are in the building on the day an assignment is due, you must turn it in to your teacher by the start of class, regardless of whether you attend class or not.
• Late work will be scored according to the following scale:
o Up to 1 day late: 25% deduction
o 2 days late: 50% deduction
o More than 2 days late: no credit

I follow the Turnitin.com policy set by the English Department:

The English Department Turnitin policy is as follows:

o All students must use their Saint Viator email address for Turnitin. No other email addresses will be recognized nor permitted.
o All major writing assignments, as well as others indicated by the teacher, must be submitted to Turnitin.
o In order to receive full credit, students must submit a hard copy to the teacher on the due date, and the assignment must also be submitted to the Turnitin website by the time class begins. Failure to complete both steps will result in the assignment being counted as late.
o These late assignments will be graded according to the department’s late policy.

NOTE FROM THE INSTRUCTOR: Should an extenuating circumstance come up on the day that an assignment is due, see Mrs. Jeanneret before school by 7:50 a.m. in Room 232 or in the English Dept. Office in the Resource Center, and she will evaluate the circumstance & consider granting an extension. If students do not see Mrs. Jeanneret before school, no exceptions will be granted under any circumstances. Emails without a response do not replace seeing Mrs. Jeanneret in person.
