________________________________________________________________________________ Constitution Day is a federally observed day that acknowledges the adoption of the United States Constitution. It is usually celebrated on September 17, which is the anniversary of the day in 1787 where the Constitution Convention delegates signed the document in Philadelphia. Greene County Career Center's Social Studies Department has decided to celebrate Constitution Day with a little friendly competition. Each Social Studies teacher (Mr. Benton, Mr. Owens, Mrs. Tiffany, and Mr. Wilson) will select one Government student who is most knowledgeable about the Constitutional Amendments. We all know most Government students, at least right now, don't know all 27 Amendments. This page will help you. So why would any student spend time studying the Amendments to the Constitution for Constitution Day? HOW ABOUT FOR $50!!!! All students selected by their teacher will win $25 a prize, and after a final competition the Grand Champion will win $100. To prepare for the competition use the links below to study. The final competition will take place on September 17, Constitution Day.
