The exam is both written (on quia) and practical. You will be given a 1/2 hour to complete each section: on Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign...for a total of 2 hours.
To study for the written portion of the test, complete all of the sample quizzes again.
To study for the practical portion of the test, know how to do the following actions in each respective program:
PHOTOSHOP:
1)Adjust the color/lighting of an image.
2)Change the dimensions and/or resolution of an image.
3)Use the selection tools.
4)Copy and paste objects.
5)Use the Type tool.
6)Effectively use the restoration tools.
ILLUSTRATOR:
1)Show and fix rulers.
2)Create guidelines.
3)Use the pen tool to trace.
4)Use fill and stroke.
5)Change the points on default shapes using the up and down arrows.
6)Use the type tool to type in the shape or on the path.
7)Use the scale and rotate tools.
INDESIGN:
1)Open new document and set options.
2) Change measurements, dimenstions, and margins.
3)Place image and/or text into a file.
4)Know how to work between the pages and the master pages.
5)Know how to condense and wrap text.
Note:
1) Arrive on time because the exam and class will be only two hours.
2) All homework must be turned in at the start of class.
3) All students must attend their section unless you prefer to come to an earlier section, that is acceptable.
