I was thinking....since it's your last year and mine, we could have a pizza party. I really can't do it Thursday since we need to do the grammar part of the final and it would be a big disruption. I WAS thinking that maybe, if you guys are available, that I could order pizza for like 11:45 on FRIDAY (you have the reading at 1:00 in the F GYM). My treat but I would like to know how many people would be willing to come at 11:45 so I don't wind up with an excess of pizza. Could you E mail me at mholland@ncolonie.org to respond if you plan on being there? I will provide pizza and plates, forks, etc. You provide your own drink. I may have brownies if I have the time. I want to take pictures and wish you all well before I see you at graduation!
TIPS on Writing: To enhance your writing use:
Upper-level vocabulary (No "Me gusta la pizza"!!)
Use transition words:
Primero, luego, pues, después de esto, etc.
SUBJUNCTIVE (at least 3 times). Espero que........... etc.
DO NOT use dialog (no quotes)
Instead of Ella dice: "....", use "Ella dice QUE él tiene que ....."
You may write the story in the first or third person
USE YOUR ARTICLES (Especially at the beginning of a sentence). Example: LA escuela es.....
For grammar on Thursday, practice with any sheets I have given you. Watch your subjects...some of you lose half credit due to improper subject agreement (example: using the "yo" form with él/ella, etc.)
I REALLY enjoyed teaching all of you this year and you have been wonderful students and I will miss you all very much!
