Welcome to Computer 6!
What a fantastic year of excitement in the Sunrise Park Middle School computer lab! We have NEW computers this year! How exciting is that!
At Sunrise, we use MS Office 2003 and XP. I have also been using a new software to demo as we learn how to use MS Office. The new software is Smart Sync. My demonstrations are broadcast to all students' computer screens, and Smart Sync also allows me to monitor students' progress on assignments as they work.
Our classes are exciting and ever changing!! Talented students galore...Once our year begins, you will be able to enjoy samples of student work by clicking on the link listed below!

In computer 6, we will begin the year familiarizing with the keyboard, learning basic features of Word, and applying the software functions to projects that are silimar to the work students will do in other classes during their years at Sunrise Park. Some of the functions we will be learning are setting margins, bolding text, underlining, applying italics, adding borders, headers and footers, and formatting documents with double spacing. As we work with text in our class, we will add work with the draw toolbar and placing graphics. Internet searches and assessing the validity of web sites will begin along with a thorough look at the White Bear Lake School District Technology Policy.
