We will be introducing the concept of plant reproduction. Students will read pages 134-142 in their textbook. They will write the definitions for the Chapter 3, Lesson 2 vocabulary; spore, pollen grain, ovule, seed, angiosperm, stamen, anther, filament, pistil, stigma, style, ovary, pollen tube, and fruit. The students will be expected to know the definitions for these terms at the end of Lesson 2.
Tuesday, December 1
Chapter 3, Lesson 2. The students will read pages 30-35 in their Reading Essentials Science Workbook. They need to highlight the main ideas in each paragraph and then create an outline based on those main ideas for pages 30-35.
Wednesday, December 2. The outline for pages 30-35 in the Reading Essentials Workbook is due. Students will turn these in at the end of the class period. Students will be assigned pages 25-27 in their Science Notebook Workbook. These pages are due on Thursday and will be corrected in class.
Thursday, December 3. We will be correcting pages 25-27 in the student's Science Notebook Workbook.
