Today we will collect the Chapter 9, Lesson 1 outlines. We are assigning pages 88-91 in the Science Notebook workbook. These are due Wednesday. The students will be tested on Thursday. The test will cover Chapter 9, Lesson 1 Vocabulary (bone, cartilage, joint, tendon, relaxation, contraction), the 5 Functions of the skeletal system (1. protecting internal organs, 2. supporting the body, 3. providing attachment points to allow movement, 4. storing calcium, and 5. forming blood cells), and knowing the 6 different types of joints found in the body (hinge joint, saddle joint, ball-and-socket joint, pivot joint, gliding joint, and immovable joint).

Tuesday, May 18
Today we will test the water rockets. Any student that has a 2-liter bottle (Finished or not.) may test the amount of water necessary for a successful launch. Of course, anyone with a completed rocket may test theirs as well.

Today we will be correcting the Science Notebook workbook pages 88-90. If time is available, we will be testing rockets again.

We be collecting rockets and giving them a grade. Those that bring their Rocket to Open House tonight and launch will be assigned "extra" credit in science content.
