Week of 8/16-8/20 Science Lessons
Monday, August 16
Today we will begin Lesson 1, Chapter 1 by reading pages 1 – 5 in the Reading Essentials Workbook. We will be teaching the students how to highlight the main ideas in each paragraph. After reading these pages and highlighting the main ideas, the students will be assigned to complete the activities in the margin of each page.
Tuesday, August 17
Today we will demonstrate how to use the highlighted sections on pages 1–5 in the Reading Essentials Workbook to create an outline for Lesson 1, Chapter 1.
Wednesday, August 18
We will be reading pages 48-49 in the Science textbook and then completing pages 2-3 in the Science Notebook Workbook.
Thursday, August 19
We will be reading pages 50-55 in the Science textbook and then completing pages 4-5 in the Science Notebook Workbook.
