A) As I explained today at the end of class about the presentation expectasions, the peoject doesn't include this time a written component, but rather a solid oral component. You should find a good website (s) that provides you with relevant information on the country you're studying, you will certainly have to read to get the information needed to present, use note cards with "key" words that will help you keep track of the structure of your presentation. Continue to work on it tonoght and follow the guidelines listed on quia.

B) Please complete the following class evaluation online tonight and send me an email simply saying that it has been submitted. We were suggested to assign this during homework time so students had more time to complete it. copy and paste the foollowing link onto a diffrent screen.

Fiestas Latinoamericanas.

A) Latin America is very rich in traditions and celebrations. You will become familiar with one of them.
B) Research online the following information require for this short oral presentation in class.
1- Which country are you focusing on
2- What is the name of this celebration/ tradition
3- When is it celebrated
4- Provide specific information on this celebration in complete sentences, including: food, music, symbolic elements such as a river, a church, a statue, animals, clothing etc…
5- Key words on note cards are allowed, but no reading. This is the most important aspect of the presentation, besides the data. practice-memorize-present: this should be your main structure.

C) Find a YouTube video that portraits or shows some or all of the points you are presenting, the emphasis is the oral report connected the visuals or imaginary display. Video should last between 4-6 minutes (choose specific section to show in class)
D) You are required to use between 10 to 14 words or verbs from chapter 6
E) Have the information ready in your email account, including URL for video website, note cards, and a well-rehearsed monologue/ facts for your presentation. We will have the Laptop and projector in the classroom.
F) Due date 12/16-17

Put more enphasis on the speaking and less on the writing, make sure to use many pictures to tell your story, and memorize your facts, don't read directly from cards or PowerPoint screens to not lose any persentage in the over all grade
