It's simple: You pack a shoe box (or a plastic box with a lid about the size of a shoe box) with gifts for a child in a desperate situation...what you pack is all that child receives for Christmas, so choose wisely! Many times this is the first gift this child will ever receive. Bring a child joy this Christmas!
School groups, scout groups, service clubs, church groups, etc. participate each year. Every US president starting with Ronald Reagan has packed a box for Operation Christmas Child.
