Welcome to 7th grade Life Science! Students will get a real treat as they move through an action packed curriculum of hands-on, minds-on science. The Life Science course begins by focusing on the tools of the scientist. The course will explore current topics in Life Science including Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Plant Biology, Invertebrate Biology, and Ecology. The course is rich with labs and field experiences. For example, students will use microscopes to explore microscopic life in pond water. A field experience focuses on evaluating the types of living things found in a stream and wood lot adjacent to the school.
