Le Conditionnel Passé deals with action that "would have happened". For example, I didn't go to his house, but I would have gone there if he hadn't left at 11:00.
Example: If you had studied, you would have passed the test.
Forming the PCOND is just like forming the PASSÉ COMPOSÉ and PLUS-QUE-PARFAIT, except for PCOND you use the CONDITIONNEL of the auxiliary verb.

pqp - they had left - ils étaient partis
