ONE MONTH TO GO!!
Hello Everyone. I had typed this update this morning, then lost my internet connection. I hope I remember everything!
Meetings The next student meeting will take place Wednesday at 2:20. We will continue to go through the list of items. One new item to discuss deals with gifts for your host family. Some of you are having difficulty thinking of ideas. Perhaps some of you can bring suggestions on Wednesday.
The remaining meetings will take place March 11, 18 and 24. The meeting for parents has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 10 at 7pm.
Fund Raiser If you have not already done so, please remember to turn in any money and unsold coupons. Remember, you can keep your profit. To determine how much money to turn in to me, take the number of coupons sold X $2.99. If you sold 10 coupons ($42.50), you keep $12.60 and give me $29.90.
Other Money Matters As you will recall from the early stages of our planning, I will also need to collect money for tips (tour director and bus driver) and for our transportation for Paris to Cholet and Cholet to Paris. I will give you the exact amount soon.
The FHS French Club has subsidized a portion of the tip costs.
The cost of the transportation from Paris to Cholet and back is just over 2200 euros. The Lycée Renaudeau is contributing 800 euros. If we can find a way to subsidize that (let me know if you have ideas), I'll be able to tell you exactly how much you owe.
While in Cholet, we will take excursions to Futuroscope and to the city of La Rochelle, a city on the Atlantic coast. The La Rochelle visit will include a boat ride to the island called Ile de Ré. For these excursions, the Lycée Renaudeau will pay for all of your admissions and bus transportation.
Passports If you have not already done so, please bring to me your passport or a photocopy of your passport.
Host Families Madame Bouvier has sent me the list of hosts along with addresses and phone numbers. I will get that list to you very soon.
