Hello Everyone.
It's hard to believe we've already been back home for two weeks now. It was strange to go from "seeing you all day, everyday" to "hardly seeing any of you". In fact, there are some of you I haven't even seen since we came back.
Once again, thanks to all of you for making this such a memorable trip. Hopefully your memories will last a long time.
I have just a few things to mention.
Post-trip get-together We do have a location for our "Pot-Luck Party/Picnic". The Hackshaw family has generously offered their home. (Merci, les Hackshaw!) All travelers and their families are invited to attend. Now all we need to do is decide on a date. I hope to find a date, late May or early June, that is good for everybody. If each of you could please check with your families to decide what days are OK for you and what days are "out of the question". Then please write to me ASAP. I'll mark everyone's input on a calendar and let you know what we get.
As far as food goes, in the past I have split things alphabetically. I will bring Smith's hot dogs. Main dish and your own drinks - Everyone. Salads & Appetizers - Anderson - Ritts. Deserts & Snacks - Robertson - Stuck. No, I don't do a follow-up check, so if the Riazzis would really prefer to bring a dessert or if the Stucks want to bring a salad, that's OK.
Pictures I will compile a collection of photographs. I'd like to do two different things. (1) Collect any pictures that you are willing to share, put them onto a disc and give a disc to each of you. This would be in the form of files you could access. (2) Make a video where I take some of the pictures you share, put them in chronological order and set them to music. No guarantee, but I will try to have this video ready in time for our get-together. If you would like to contribute any pictures, please burn them onto a disc or bring them to my classroom on a jump drive.
Paris Maps If you still have your Paris maps and you want to keep it as a souvenir, great! I don't blame you. But, if you think you have no further use for your map, I'd be happy to take it from you.
That's all for now. I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from all of you regarding your availability
Merci!
Monsieur
