South of France extension
As you’ll recall, I had stated that in order to add the two-day extension to our trip, the vote would have to be unanimous. I didn’t hear from everyone, but since there are some who have decided against the extension, we will not add it to our trip. Thank you to those of you who did share your thoughts. And, as I have said before, if you were among those who did want the extension, I guarantee that you WILL love this trip.
Letters to Cholet
Just a reminder that your letters to Cholet were due to me last Friday. If you have not turned one in to me, please try to do so ASAP. I’d like to send these to Madame Bouvier soon. I don’t want to send any until I have them all. I would also like to send pictures of you to Cholet. I have pictures of many of you, but I will only send pictures that you tell me you are OK with. If you know that I don’t have a recent picture of you, (or if you want me to take a new picture of you), stop by some time when you feel you look “presentable enough”.
Bad News / Good News
I had mentioned earlier that Mrs. Martter would be traveling with us next June as my assistant. Unfortunately, upon closely examining her schedule, she saw that she would not be able to join us. Though we are sad that Mrs. Martter won't make the trip to Cholet, we are very happy to announce that Mrs. Hitt will take her place. Mrs. Hitt has also been very active in the exchange, hosting in 2001, 2006 and 2008 and she is VERY excited to participate in June. BIENVENUE, MADAME HITT!!
Fund Raising
We are just about to start our next fund raiser, Sub coupons from Teresa’s Lake Shore Deli. Thanks to Erica Robertson, one of our travelers who also works at Teresa’s, for setting this up! We hope to get the coupons out to you either right before Thanksgiving, or as soon as we come back. You will receive 30 coupons to start. If you need more, just let me know. We know that the coupons will sell for $4.75 and are good for a 10-inch sub (Combination - Ham & Cheese - Pizza - Meatball & Cheese - Turkey - Veggie - Tuna). We’re not sure exactly how much profit you earn per coupon. We’ll tell you as soon as we know. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: You are responsible for the coupons you receive. At the end of the sale, you must turn in your money and your unsold coupons. You will have to pay for any coupons you do not return, so please be very careful with them.
