CHOLET UPDATE - May 2, 2011 - "Meeting, Dates and More"

Some confusion It was brought to my attention this afternoon that not everyone in our group was scheduled to leave from Cleveland on the same date. Some of you were looking at a June 20 departure. I contacted our EF Agent Garrett to find out what was happening. He checked and called me back to explain.
Our homestay in Cholet was listed as an "Option" at the time of registration. If you clicked the "Option" when you registered, you are all set and your departure was listed as June 13. If you didn't click "Option", your departure was listed as June 20 and you would have joined the rest of us after the Cholet homestay.
That error has been corrected and we are all now scheduled to fly out of Cleveland on June 13. However, as you will recall from the
Important Costs Page you saw last summer, our Cholet option came with a $95 Service Fee. If you did not click that option, that fee was never added to your total. So, with the correction made today, the $95 has been included. If you see that your balance became $95 higher today, that is why. I am very sorry that I did not notice that earlier and I thank the parent who brought that to my attention!
The official dates. While speaking with Garrett, I wanted make sure I had the correct date of our return. The good news is that we will in fact have one more day in Cholet, getting what we had originally requested. We will leave Cleveland on Monday, June 13, leave Cholet for Paris on Tuesday, June 21, and leave France and return home on Tuesday, June 28.
Meetings Now that RCI is finishing, it will be much easier to have tutorial meetings with everyone present. The hard part will be picking dates where no other tutorial events take place. I would like to have one this week, Thursday or Friday. I will check tomorrow to see if either day is open and get back to you.
I would also like to provide the parents the opportunity to meet and get answers to any questions you may have. Being involved with softball, and seeing more games postponed, rescheduled and re-postponed than ever before, it's tricky to set a firm date. But I will try very soon, so get your questions ready. I will pick a day that should be "softball free". But a postponed game may be rescheduled for that day, so please bear with me.
