CHOLET EXCHANGE UPDATE - July 16, 2012 (329 days!)
Dear Travelers, Potential Travelers and Families,
There are not a lot of new items to report, but I will tell you about the few that I have.
We're up to six! Our sixth traveler has enrolled. The roster (in no particular order) includes: Leaf Jeffery, Ethan Jeffery, Abby Widger, Marley Hokaj, Josh McMahan and Josh's dad. If you are friends with any of our "maybes", see if you can give them a nudge. And if you are one of the "maybes" and your folks would like to get in touch with me, they may (fhsmonsieur@roadrunner.com). I could even plan another informational meeting for parents who were unavailable for the last one, or whose students have joined us since.
Fundraising The French and Spanish Clubs will once again have their annual Cookie Dough fund raiser in September with profits going to the respective clubs. As you may know, we make an exception for students traveling on our trips. Any profit you earn through cookie dough sales will go to you so that you can put it towards the cost of yout trip. This sale will last for two weeks starting on Monday, September 10. Mrs. Jeffery has also offered to help coordinate further fund raisers. More information on that will be available in the future. (Merci Madame!!!)
Facebook Page I have started a Facebook page for our trip. There isn't much there now, but it will gain content as time goes on. It will not replace anything we currently have. It will just be one addition way to alert you to updates. So if you are not a Facebook user, you are under no obligation to join. However, while the trip is in progress I will post pictures to the Facebook page. I used to post pictures to another website, but the Facebook page turned out to be a much easier way to go. If you are anti-Facebook, you may want to join just to see the pictures in June. To join our group, search for "Cholet Exchange juin 2013". I might have to "accept" you first, but that's just a formality.
