CHOLET EXCHANGE UPDATE - September 10, 2012 (273 days!)
Dear Travelers, Potential Travelers and Families,
Fund Raiser. This is a reminder that the first fund raiser started today (September 10). This is the annual Cookie Dough sale run by the French and Spanish Clubs. The profits raised support the French and Spanish Clubs, with the exception of the profits raised by travelers on this trip. YOU KEEP ALL PROFITS. If you have not yet picked up your packets, see me ASAP. Order forms must be turned in by Monday, September 24.

Possible date change
I am considering delaying the trip by one week. However I will not make the change unless it is OK with everyone. Currently we are aiming to leave Fairview on Monday, June 10 and return on Tuesday, June 25 (two days later if we take the optional extension to the south of France). If we were to start the trip on June 17 and return on July 2, would that be a problem for any of you. Please let me know one way or the other. If I don’t hear from you I don’t want to assume that a change would be OK, so please contact me whether you are OK or not OK with the change.
End of September price increase
A reminder to the people who have not signed on yet: If you are sure that you will join us, please register soon. The tour package cost is guaranteed until the end of September and will most likely increase after that.
Recent increase
On a related note, you noticed an increase recently. That was not the tour package but rather the departure fees. From the information on our EF site:
They include taxes and fees levied by governments and airlines and are subject to change. These fees do not include any applicable baggage-handling fees imposed by the airlines. Your departure fees are finalized 30-50 days prior to departure.
Open House - September 19 Open House is next Wednesday evening. That night you will go through your students’ schedules and meet their teachers. I will be available before and after the Open House if any of you would like to meet with me. Time is limited while I speak with the parents about the class. Though I will mention the exchange, I won’t go into the same specifics that concern you, so earlier or later would be better.
