CHOLET EXCHANGE UPDATE – May 8, 2016

Dear Travelers, Potential Travelers and Parents,
Bonjour et Bonne Fête des Mères! (although in France it is celebrated the last Sunday in May, not the second)
I was hoping to get an update out last weekend. In it I was going to say that we were still holding steady at five students enrolled. I was going to try to encourage you to enroll soon (holding steady at 5 for so long was scaring me).
I’m happy to say that our numbers saw a jump this week – since Tuesday three students have signed up for the trip! Welcome aboard (in order of enrollment) Johanna Rinderle, Tyra Skalos and Peyton Siegler! In case you forgot, the previous five are (in alphabetical order) Adam Fox, Austin Knapp, Andrew Millward, Lin Silver and Mason Thayer.
What happened this week is great, but we still have a way to go to hit the twelve I’m hoping for. I spoke with several students who have told me that they are sure they will be traveling with us. I’m happy to hear that. I’d love it if you signed up soon. The biggest benefit to you for signing on now is the lower monthly payment you will have. As for me, it’s nice to be able to say, “I now know who is going. Let’s start meeting!”
With that in mind, I’ll ask you to update me on your decision making process. If you have already enrolled, you need not take further action. If you are one of the others, let me know if you still plan to sign on. If you have officially decided to drop from the trip, let me know and I’ll remove you from this e-mail list.
If you are a parent who (whether you attended one of the meetings or not) would like to chat with me further about the trip, please don’t hesitate to write to me (hallr@fairviewschools.org). We can arrange a phone call or a meeting in person if you like.
Also, students, please double check with your parents to make sure they received this update.
