Bonjour à tous! 2 jours! [Well, I guess we can count down the hours now – under 48 hours until our departure!]
Just a few last minute things. Nothing new or urgent, just reminders and more.
1. Contact your bank just to let them know that your student will be abroad
2. Obtaining euros If you have not ordered yours by now, DON’T! They will not arrive in time. You are not out of luck by any means. You’ll just need to stop by an ATM before you can spend cash (and there is one in the Cleveland airport). Credit card purchases should not be a problem, especially if you have a chip.
3. Weather in France I don’t always put much faith in long-term forecasts, but this is all we have. AND THE WEATHER LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!!

4. Passports I do have a copy of everyone’s (even Batman’s)!! Please remember to bring yours on Wednesday.
5. Carry-on luggage Zip-loc bags! Have a supply. Also, don’t forget the TSA guidelines for liquids in your carry-on: which you can see here.
6. Social Media I will be posting many pictures on Facebook. The page is called Fairview-Cholet Exchange 2017
(https://www.facebook.com/groups/475300216154925/) All students on the trip and family back home are encouraged to join. You may want to do so soon. Since starting this a few trips back, I had many people (parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.) making their requests to join while we were abroad. I granted all requests (sometimes with verification needed), but with limited internet access, many of them had to wait a few days.
I’m sort of a newbie when it comes to Twitter. I only use if for school-related tweets. I may post a few pictures from time to time. If you’re interested, you can follow me at @fhsmonsieur.
