Hello Host Families,
Just two items today; some great news and a reminder
Everybody has a host family!!!! The last two Cholet students now have a place to stay! A huge thank you to Nathan Waples and his family (they will host Maxence) and to Luca Hokaj and his family (they will host Adel). And of course, my ongoing thanks still go out to all of you for hosting!
Excursion reminder Don’t forget to sign up for an excursion right away. After next Friday I will invite all FHS students to sign up if there is any space available after you’ve had your head start.
Here are the important notes which appeared in the August 25 update. Beyond that, there is nothing new in this September 5 update. Enjoy the rest of the extended weekend!
1. The Cleveland excursion is shaping up to be quite a new experience. You will see that in addition to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the students will also take a morning tour of the Quicken Loans Arena. Then they will return that evening to see the Cleveland Cavaliers play the Chicago Bulls. Space on this trip will be limited since the tickets need to be purchased in advance. We do not yet know the exact number we can take. So you may be waitlisted without knowing right away. The posted price is an estimate and may change. I will keep you informed.
2. If you are interested in going to Niagara Falls with us, you must have a passport!!!
3. Students who are hosting get first dibs on these excursions, starting NOW. If there is any space available on any of the trips after Friday, September 8, I will announce to the entire school that all students are invited to help fill those remaining places.
To claim your space, turn in your check/cash along with a signed permission slip (which can be found on the website for each excursion) to me as soon as you can.
