CHOLET EXCHANGE UPDATE – September 24, 2017
(19 days!!!)
Hello Host Families,
Less than three weeks to go!!! Just three items today:
remind.com If you are wondering whether or not you missed the message tests on remind.com, you didn’t. I was going to try this Friday, but I was stumped. I will consult with “my own personal remind.com expert and advisor” to figure this out. I will try this two ways, sending messages from my computer and sending messages from my phone.
Bus passes As you know, however the host student gets to school, so does the exchange student. If you will drive your student each day, the rest of this item will not apply to you. But stay tuned for a “just in case” scenario. If you ride the bus to school during the exchange, you have to have a pass for the Cholet student. You can get that from me. You probably only need to use it the first day or two, but have it with you each day in case the driver requests to see it.
And now, for the just in case scenario: One day, during the 2008 exchange, the Fairview host was too sick to come to school. The family decided to have the French girl take the bus. The driver, who was doing his job, needed to contact the bus garage, who contacted the school office, who contacted me to verify the student. If you are a driver and want to grab a pass “just in case,” please do.
Our Facebook page Don’t forget to join our Fairview-Cholet Exchange 2017 Facebook Page. Avoid the rush that always comes after the exchange has begun.
That’s it for now!
Merci!
Monsieur
