CHOLET EXCHANGE UPDATE – October 15, 2017
Hello Host Families,
A few items today.
The welcome reception went very well! Thank you to everyone who came (this may be the first time I can recall where EVERY host student was present for the big arrival!), who provided food and who helped clean up afterwards. We are off to a successful start. Also, thanks to everyone who has posted pictures on the Facebook page! Keep them coming!
Regarding the student lunches at FHS (non-excursion days), you have the choice: You can pack lunches for the kids or give them money to buy lunches. For the excursions, the lunches must be packed.

Weather forecast: high in the mid-60’s and sunny! We should be back by 8:00. I will use remind.com if we are significantly delayed.
If there is an urgent situation, you may call or text me (814-392-4524). If it’s not urgent, e-mailing me will be best. The Cholet students may have numbers for their teachers, too. If so, then having the students call them is also an option. Next weekend I will be out of state for a family wedding, so access to me will be limited. If something important does arise, please do let me know. But consider those other options as well.
Lastly, as I have just put on a sweatshirt (even though it’s over 70 degrees outside, that is not the case in my classroom), let your students know that the classroom temperatures vary in our building. Tell them to have a sweatshirt or sweater handy each day, just in case - especially if they’re in my room! (I feel bad I didn’t give a heads up to the kids who took the PSATs in my room on Wednesday!)
