CHOLET EXCHANGE UPDATE – September 05, 2018
Dear Travelers, Potential Travelers and Families,
I have three items in this update.
Cookie Dough Fund Raiser The annual Cookie Dough Sale for the French & Spanish Clubs will kick off next Monday during tutorial in my classroom. For most students, the profits they raise will go to their respective clubs. But for those of you traveling abroad with us, YOU KEEP THE PROFITS! Some of you did well with this last year. Hopefully we’ll do even better in 2018. Be sure to attend the meeting. Yes, you can get the materials later, but you’ll miss the first-hand explanation and others may get to your customers before you get the chance.
Passports If you have not yet applied for your passport, it’s not too early. The link can be found on the Important Costs of our website. However, keep in mind that if a person under the age of 16 gets a new passport, it is only valid for five years. For anyone aged 16 or older, it is valid for ten years. If you will turn 16 soon (not next spring), you may want to wait to apply. Just make sure you have your passport in time for the trip – it may take several weeks to process.
Sign-up deadline This is for the “maybes”. I have set a deadline of September 30 to apply. I’d like to start meeting with students to discuss various aspects of the trip and I prefer to do so after we know who is definitely going. Go here for details. If you feel you might not make that deadline, but you are certain you will sign up, please let me know. And, as always, if you have decided that you will definitely not travel with us, let me know and I’ll remove you from the list.
