Pittsburgh Permission Slip
8:30 am Leave FHS parking lot.
10:45 am [Leave your lunch on the bus.] Guided tour of the Andy Warhol Museum, the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single artist. Warhol, a Pittsburgh native, was a forerunner in the "Pop Art" movement. On display are thousands of paintings, photographs, sculptures and more.
12:30 pm Leave the Warhol Museum. Get your packed lunch off the bus. We will walk along the Allegheny River, stopping along the way to eat. During the walk we’ll pass PNC Park, Heinz Field (oops! I mean Acrisure Stadium) and the Mr. Rogers Statue. We will finish the walk at the Carnegie Science Center.
2:00 pm Carnegie Science Center. Take time to explore the exhibits throughout the museum. You will also be able to spend time at the nearby Highmark Sports Works.
4:00 pm Students will board the bus and ride to the
Duquesne Incline , scale to the top of Mount Washington and spend a few minutes there to enjoy the view of Pittsburgh.
4:45 pm After descending Mount Washington, students will board the bus and travel to the Grove City Outlets.
5:45 pm Students will arrive at the Grove City Outlets and have time to shop and eat dinner.
8:00 pm Students will board the bus and return to Fairview.
9:00 pm Approximate time of return to FHS.
Cost: $28. Pay when you turn in your Pittsburgh Permission Slip. Payment may be in cash or check payable to Fairview French High School.
