Bonjour! In this update I’ll mention communications.
Communication with Parents: To keep in touch with the parents, I have created an account on Remind.com. This will be used a few times just to keep you up to speed on certain things, primarily when we travel - when we land in Paris (so you know we’ve landed safely - even though it will be the middle of the night in Fairview). Likewise, I will update you as we travel back on July 5. I’ll send a message from Cleveland when we leave the airport (so I can give you our ETA to FHS and when we cross into PA. It is called Cholet Exchange June 2025 (Parents). Please click here to register your phone number (and your email if you wish). Please do this soon so I can test the system in the near future.
Communication with Students: I have created an account on WhatsApp, It’s called Fairview France juin 2025. I have already sent them a separate email to get the ball rolling on that.
My cell number is 814-392-4524. Feel free to add that to your contact list. Although Remind will be my primary method of communication, if you need to text or call me, you may. Students, please send me a text with your name so I can add you to my contact list. (Through Speech & Debate I have some of your numbers already. You can skip this step.)
FLIGHT INFO! This just in! Our flights are confirmed. The short version: June 19: Cleveland to Toronto; Toronto to Paris. July 5: just the reverse. All flights are on Air Canada. More details:
June 19 Flight 8734 leaves Cleveland at 3:50 pm, lands in Toronto at 4:58 pm.
Flight 872 leaves Toronto 8:40 pm, lands in Paris on June 20 at 10:10 am (4:10 am EDT).
July 5 Flight 873 leaves Paris at 12:40 pm (6:40 am EDT), lands in Toronto at 2:50 pm.
Flight 8375 leaves Toronto 6:20 pm, lands in Cleveland at 7:28 pm.
I will arrange for a Fairview school bus to transport our group from FHS to Cleveland on June 19, and another to return us to Fairview from Cleveland on July 5.
Lastly, we’ve made a lot of progress on reserving a bus on June 20 to take us from Paris to Cholet. I should have your cost very soon.
