Study Guide for Test on Land Biomes
Know the following vocabulary: Climate, Taiga, Tundra, Grasslands, Climax Plants
Know the four conditions that make biomes different: temperature, sunlight, precipitation, soil
Know that in general, the higher an altitude is, the colder the temperature. This is because temperatures decrease with altitude. Air in higher altitudes is thinner and less dense the higher you go.
Two conditions that determine the climate of a biome are: Temperature and amount of sunlight.
